Wolves Can't Climb

This Okami fan-art started off as a sketch I traced over with felt-pen (something I am bad with since I don't have the most steady hand) and finally I got around to working on a scanned version in Paint-tool Sai. I decided after colouring it might look better if I traced over the line-work with the pen-tool since the lines were a bit faded after applying the Multiply effect to the base layer (so I could colour underneath). This was really a long time in the making...probably spent way too long but I liked the concept of a terrified Amaterasu trying to climb up the cat-wall with her new abilities, she and Issun clinging on for dear life, while Kabegami is just like "what, problem?" It was hard making the background consistent since I had to zoom in a lot to get neat lines. There are probably a few mistakes still! Ah well, I am happy with it now.
